New Ongoing Fundraiser – Cobs Dough Raiser Program

Support our school while shopping at COBS Bread in Fort Saskatchewan! Simply mention “St. John XXIII School” during your next visit, and 5% of your purchase will be donated to the school. It’s that easy! Thank you for helping us and supporting local businesses.
Please note: If you regularly collect breadcrumb points, you’ll need to choose between keeping your points from your purchase or donating them to the school. Unfortunately, you can't do both.

Boston Pizza – Operation Education

Join us in supporting our school through Operation Education, a fantastic fundraising initiative that connects local schools with Boston Pizza Restaurants in our community. When you dine at any participating Boston Pizza location, you help our school earn 5% cash back on the pre-tax total of your receipts!
Here’s how it works:
1. Dine-in at Boston Pizza.
2. Keep your original receipt (photocopies will not be accepted).
3. Submit the receipt to Mrs. Potter in the school office.
You have until December 31, 2024, to enjoy a meal at your local Boston Pizza. Make sure to submit your original receipt by January 15, 2025, to help us raise valuable funds for our school!

Please see the list of participating locations below.

2024/2025 St. John XXIII School Council Executive

Candice Kalyn - Chair

Hi everyone! I’m so incredibly grateful to be a part of the St John XXIII family. My daughter Cecily just completed Grade 3 and loved every minute of it. I’m excited to continue my journey with School Council and to be a part of some exciting events and collaborations supporting school administration.

I thrive on bringing joy to others and lending a helping hand in any way I can. I’m looking forward to learning my new role as vice-chair and helping any way I can.

Marc Dzura – Co-Chair

Hi all!  I'm very lucky to be a part of the great community of St. John XXIII.  I'm a very proud husband and I’m a father to two wonderful girls.  My eldest recently graduated from St. John XXIII, while my youngest is in Grade 3

Being that this is my first year as a part of the School Council executive, I'm looking forward to learning and growing in my role as Co-Chair and supporting the families and school community as a whole.

Linsey deMontigny - Vice Chair

I’m thrilled to introduce myself as the new Vice Chair of the School Council this year! As a parent of two wonderful kids—my eldest in grade 4 and my youngest in grade 2, who is loving the nature program—I’m passionate about our school and the incredible experiences it offers. I’m eager to connect with all of you, share ideas, and work together to create an even more vibrant community for our children. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead!

Christi McTaggart – Treasurer

Hello, my name is Christi McTaggart, and I’m excited to be Treasurer of the St. John XXIII School Council. I have two boys, Reeve and Lochlan, who attend the school. Originally from Northern Alberta, I moved to Fort Saskatchewan 12 years ago. My husband grew up here and even attended St. John XXIII himself, so this school holds a special place in our family's heart.

I hold a degree in Child Studies and a certificate in Child & Youth Mental Health. Currently, I work as a Social Media & Marketing Consultant, which allows me the flexibility to spend time volunteering at the school—you’ll probably see me around! Before that, I spent over 10 years supporting children and families at a charitable organization in Edmonton, and worked for the City of Fort Saskatchewan for a couple of years before starting our family.

I am passionate about this community and love to contribute to making it a better place. I look forward to meeting more of the wonderful St. John’s families.

Korinne Walsh - Council Secretary

Hello Families! My name is Korinne Walsh and I have been on School Council since 2020! My husband Mark and I have two boys, Owen and Jax, who both attend the incredible St. John XXIII. I grew up in Northern Ontario, and moved to Alberta in 2010 to start my career as a teacher! I am blessed to continue serving the St. John XXIII Catholic School community, on the School Council, as a teacher and a MOM.
